In the narrowest sense

Martial Arts

The fighting disciplines.

Kung Fu, Karate, Judo, Taekwondo and other styles that develop the ability to fight — for self-defence or combat sport.

In the widest sense

Martial Intelligence

The arts that cultivate the Body&Mind instrument.

Fitness. Mindfulness. Philosophy. Fighting disciplines.

The wider world of knowledge and practice developed through martial arts, accessible for your personal development.

The SC MASTERY understanding

Mastery

Mastery is the ability to understand and use Body&Mind as one instrument — and make its full capacity available when the moment demands it.

Mindfulness. Fitness. Philosophy. Fighting. Four directions offered by Martial Intelligence.

Martial Arts can be the highest mountain you can climb if you take the whole path to the peak. Today, this mountain also offers more precise paths to personal mastery and mastery in Martial Arts.

Your path and your peak depend on your arena, your life and your ambitions.

The work behind SC MASTERY

Extract the intelligence.
Open the possibilities.

The eight movements tell the story of Serge Cvetkovic’s work: extracting and distilling Martial Intelligence from martial arts, making its subjects, capacities and training methods accessible in their own right.

Fitness, mindfulness, philosophy and fighting can be understood and studied separately. Martial Arts can also be followed as an integrated path.

This clarity creates new possibilities: one hour a week, Faster2Master and direct paths to Master of Self, Master of Martial Arts, Master of Body&Mind and Master of All Arts.

The fields of study

Four arts. One instrument.

Fitness. Mindfulness. Philosophy. Fighting disciplines.

Each field can be explored individually within the wider world of Martial Intelligence.

Movement 02

Human Mastery Intelligence

Why are martial arts so fascinating to so many people?

They always have been. Today, more than ever.

Martial arts are the oldest conservatory of wisdom for the biggest questions of human life across the ages. They are the largest field of study across disciplines. And they should never be reduced to a fighting art alone.

Many other disciplines pose the same questions. But martial arts go further. They question the questions.

What happens to philosophy, fitness, mindfulness and fighting skills when pressure rises — or enters the stage of career, sport and life?

Movement 03

A School for Life

My father always taught martial arts with these words:

“You don’t do this only for fighting.
This is a school for life.”

It turned out to be both. Sometimes, even the most creative environment requires “the fight” to sustain itself under pressure and expectations.

But it went much further. The question “Why is it a school for life?” became the question of my life. I wanted to answer it for myself, for my father and for future generations.

After mastering martial arts, I organised my life around that question. I wanted to discover how much of that claim was true:

  • As a pianist and composer
  • As a coach of top athletes, managers and leaders
  • As an economist and investment banker
  • As a father
  • As the founder of the Junior Masters Program

I wanted to share with children what my father had taught me through martial arts — not only as a fighting art, but as a school for life.

PEAC

Martial Arts as a Path of Personal Development and Growth

Martial arts are often seen as a mountain to be climbed through education, exercise and exposure under pressure. A path that can lead to energy, excellence and enlightenment.

For me, this was my personal Mind Everest.

And I don’t use it only as a metaphor.
I mean it literally.

The Psychology of Presence reveals the four qualities that grow under pressure. PEAC.

  • Presence becomes Power Presence.
  • Energy becomes Elevated Energy.
  • Attention becomes Activated Attention on demand.
  • Capacity becomes Channeled Capacity — in the task.

And the task can be art, sport, work, leadership or life.

This is what mastery means: when the skills travel beyond martial arts and shape the personality.

Movement 06

MASTER Momentum

Momentum — a Modern Word. And the Oldest Wisdom.

If martial arts were only about fighting, no one would accept the path. Because the path is the highest possible mountain one can climb.

The modern question is: are there more intelligent ways to develop the momentum we often expect from the personality of a MASTER — without the necessity of fighting ten opponents?

I did it.
At 17.
Ten opponents.
One circle.
One person in the centre.

But this situation didn’t ask whether I was a fighter. The ten other black belts around me were fighters too.

It asked whether I could be a MASTER under that pressure. In that moment.

MASTER in the moment — when it counts, when pressure cannot be avoided.

A

S

T

E

Movement 07

YOUniversity?

The Beginning of a Modern Question

You don’t go to a university to study everything it offers. You choose a subject that matters in your life.

The same applies to mastery today. You can choose:

  • Master of Martial Arts
  • Master of Self
  • Master of Body&Mind
  • Master of All Arts

If, in a modern school of mastery, the Six SuperSkills, the Four Qualities and MASTER Momentum can be studied and trained directly, without detours, then this is no longer only a school of martial arts.

This deserves a new name:
YOUniversity.

This has been the work of the last 30 years of my life: to distil a master class for every subject offered by martial arts — not as a fighting school, but as a conservatory of human mastery intelligence.

Today, we enter where masters used to arrive.

After a lifetime of study, training, hard work and iron discipline.

We can follow those paths more deliberately.
Or choose the GOLD NUGGETS.

To a Master Class for Each Subject

Of the conservatory of human mastery intelligence.

Today, we separate two paths: Master of Martial Arts and Personal Mastery.

Master of Martial Arts

This opens two possible paths:

But most people do not really want to enter the world of martial arts.

Even if you want to enter one of these two paths, there is a faster way than in the past.

Personal Mastery

If you are looking for personal mastery without fighting skills, the question is: are you looking for…

  • Mindfulness — mastery level
  • Fitness — mastery level
  • Philosophy — the wisdom preserved in martial arts

The subjects relevant to these paths are:

Or Are You Looking Only for the Gold Nuggets?

To complete your personal portfolio:

  • PEAC — Presence, Energy, Attention, Capacity — under pressure
  • SuperSkills — under pressure
  • MASTER Momentum — in the moment of pressure

The roots of our school

The lineage.
The education.
The opening.

Niko Cvetkovic trained as a Wing Chun master in the school of Leung Ting — the world’s largest Wing Chun school.

Leung Ting was a direct student of Ip Man, perhaps the greatest master in the Wing Chun world. Bruce Lee, perhaps the best-known name in martial arts, was also a direct student of Ip Man.

Ip Man shaped a lineage that produced some of the greatest masters and teachers of Wing Chun. Niko Cvetkovic stands within this lineage.

A Master Class from the beginning.

Before entering Wing Chun, my father was already a Black Belt in Karate. He entered Leung Ting’s school through a Master Class, recognised as a master student with previous experience.

The Ip Man–Niko Cvetkovic lineage — IPNC — therefore already carried a more modern and open understanding of martial arts.

In this school, I studied directly with Leung Ting and with my father, Niko Cvetkovic. I received the fourth master grade — the highest available grade.

The wooden dummy as a training instrument.

One of the distinctive arts of Wing Chun is training with the wooden dummy.

In the modern version of our school, as I teach it today, the wooden dummy becomes an integrated part of extended Dojo Competence. Everyone can begin working with it from the start. It is an instrument for independent training.

This traditional instrument has been developed with particular refinement within Wing Chun. Its methods can also benefit martial artists across other styles.

Through the Wooden Dummy Master Class, we open access to this art of training to the wider martial arts world.

Opening the intelligence within the tradition.

We have examined Martial Arts and Martial Intelligence through their constituent parts, making the Gold Nuggets and training principles directly accessible to people seeking their own development.

This opens access to the knowledge and methods preserved within martial arts:

The fighting disciplines in the narrower sense. The Black Belt world — the art of standing against ten opponents. And Martial Intelligence in the wider sense:

Philosophy. Fighting. Fitness. Mindfulness.

Together, these become a YOUniversity: a place where people can choose their personal development through Martial Intelligence and the wisdom preserved by these centuries-old arts.

Dojo Competence. Independence for life.

Perhaps the greatest innovation is that people who do not need the full martial arts path can develop Dojo Competence.

They learn to continue developing independently through the four disciplines of Martial Intelligence — through training, meditation and the principles of mastery.

Junior Masters. A foundation before adulthood.

Another innovation is the Junior Masters Program.

It enables children and young people to enter adult life with Master of Self or a Master Degree already attained.

The tradition continues — while its possibilities become accessible to a new generation.

The personal journey and mission

From a tradition
to a personal
YOUniversity.

My personal journey has been about understanding the YOUniversity idea and Self Competence as the highest goal.

I worked to decipher Martial Arts in its widest sense as an art for life — making its four directions visible:

Mindfulness. Fitness. Philosophy. Fighting.

I also sought to clarify the different meanings of mastery: Master of Martial Arts, Master of Self, Master of Master Arts and Master of All Arts.

These distinctions help people understand the breadth of intelligence and wisdom preserved within martial arts. They give people a language for their own ambitions — and help turn Martial Arts and Martial Intelligence into personal paths.

Clarity makes the path more direct.

What is a Master Degree? What is Personal Mastery?

What does it mean to become Master of Martial Arts? What does it mean to become Master of Self?

These distinctions are the beginning of Faster2Master.

When you understand your destination and the possibilities available to you, your path can become more direct. You can choose the Gold Nuggets that serve your purpose.

Modern life places us under pressure. This includes the pressure of a changing world and the pressure of time.

Many people cannot first climb the entire martial arts mountain before discovering which parts of its wisdom and training are relevant to their lives.

Today, we can make these paths explicit. We can identify their subjects, methods and possibilities — and help people choose precisely.

Subjects for your own path.

This is why I developed focused subjects such as:

workIN. Body&Mind School. fit4martial arts.

They open access to particular arts within the wider world of Martial Intelligence. They help you understand which paths are available and how to shape your own journey towards mastery.

People with full lives can explore and develop mastery in the areas that matter to them. Children can pursue a Master Degree before entering adulthood.

The whole art becomes a world of arts — with more precise ways to choose what helps you progress.

The Intro Workshop: transparency for your choices.

The Intro Workshop makes this landscape transparent.

It serves martial artists and people who want to use Martial Intelligence in their lives. It helps people interested in Self Competence, Self Mastery and Martial Arts understand the new paths available to them.

Which direction serves your ambition?

Which subjects and Gold Nuggets do you want to study and train?

What do you need — and what can you use for your own development?

Together, we explore how to assemble your personal portfolio of training and continuing education.

You can discover why one hour per week may be enough for your purpose, and how more direct martial arts paths can bring mastery within reach in a few years.

Martial Arts and Martial Intelligence can become your personal YOUniversity.

A world of masters.

This is my World of Masters mission: to help every person find their own path to mastery.

By making the many arts within Martial Arts visible, we can choose more precisely what serves our lives, our ambitions and our development.
